Kareem Helmee

Trainer

He joined FameLab Egypt and won the 2nd place in 2011. He then attended FameLab international at Cheltenham, UK where he was inspired by the MC. Therefore, he applied to be the MC of the national FameLab competition. He got his chance and repeated it 5 times (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017). He was also part of the team which has given initial trainings for FameLab Qatar 2016 and 2017, and worked as a co-trainer with Malcolm Love and Karl Byrne for several masterclasses for FameLab Egypt.

Kareem graduated from Digital Media Engineering and Technology at the German University in Cairo 2010 and working as a 3D technical artist at zanad studio.

He joined several student activities at the university (SIFE GUC, GUCMUN, AIESEC), while he did some outside-the-university community service activities  (Rotaract club of Wadi Degla). These activities gave him the chance to discover his passion for public speaking.

He started his blog “Hona Al Qahera” in 2010, writing short sarcastic poems and articles about social and political issues. He joined FameLab Egypt and won the 2nd place in 2011. He then attended FameLab international at Cheltenham, UK where he was inspired by the MC. Therefore, he applied to be the MC of the national FameLab competition. He got his chance and repeated it 5 times so far (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017). He was one of the 4 speakers of “Paradox Within” in TEDxGUC 2013 and became the MC of TEDxGUC Conference of the years 2014,2015, and 2016.

Moreover, he hosted the annual ceremony of Injaz Masr in AUC Bassily Hall, as well as several events at the British Embassy in Cairo with British Council and Shell, and FameLab Finals at Qatar 2017. He MC / hosted several events, to Injaz Startup Program Ceremony 2015, and Shell Intelaqah Program 2015.

In parallel with his job at zanad, he was working as a presenter at Reviewzat and he is currently working as a professional Host/MC, communication skills trainer and a professional voice over artist for commercials and documentaries. In addition, he is one of the co-founders of Lighten Up, a startup which aims to shift the Egyptian mindset towards a more nutritious and healthy lifestyle.
